Look at that, November is nearly ending! Now the hopeful December is about to come yet the spirit of Christmas is as scarce as the hen’s teeth. You turn 360 degrees yet you may not be able to differentiate this Christmas month from June, or July. True enough, who would have the gusto to celebrate with what has happened to our country— if nothing more than it took thousands of lives, it seem like it also sucked the life out of everyone.
On a brighter note, this goes to show how we’re all vulnerable and how truly (sometimes unconsciously) empathize each other. One for all, all for one. The victims are not left for themselves to mourn alone, we are right back at them. And so when they begin to smile, we smile even more.
That being said, let us be reminded with that glimmer of hope inside all of us. That flickering hint of light. Strong waters may have tried to wash that away, but it will always stay and thoroughly shine. Like how the wisest man Dumbledore would put it: “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.”
Let us be each other’s light for that alone would be the true spirit of Christmas.
